Key Experience
Dr. Folayan is the Principal Partner and Chief Executive of PROGRESS ENGINEERS. He is responsible for the management of the firm and the works undertaken in the fields of Soils, Foundation, Geotechnical Engineering, Water Supply and Irrigation Engineering. He has been responsible for the training of several engineers and technicians. 

Dr. Folayan has managed and directed Geotechnical Engineering studies for major multi-storey buildings, commercial and industrial facilities; offshore and land reclamation projects in the United States of America and in Nigeria. Prior to Progress Engineers he was an Associate Partner in Dames & Moore, USA, a multi-national engineering consulting firm.

Dr. Folayan has served on the Board of several organisations such as: The Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute (1978-1980), The Royal Exchange Assurance (Nigeria) Limited (1980-1983). Dr. Folayan is one of the founding members of the Association of Consulting Engineers, Nigeria (ACEN) and was elected President of ACEN between (1994 - 1997). He was for many years the Association's delegate at the Annual General Assembly Meetings of World Federation of Consulting Engineers, Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs Conseils (FIDIC). In 1988, Dr. Folayan was elected into the Executive Committee FIDIC where he became the first third-world Engineer to be elected into the Executive body. Dr. Folayan has received numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution to the consulting engineering practice in Nigeria, and is highly regarded as one of the foremost authorities in the areas of geotechincal and foundation engineering in Nigeria.
