Engr. Akwuba has diverse experiences working with contracting and consulting engineering firms. He was involved with the design and construction of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) mini-campus roads, bridges, as well as building structures. Prior to joining Progress Engineers, Engr. O.G. Akwuba worked with Shell Petroleum Development Company, Modak Nig. Ltd. - the then major contractor for (FUTA), Aresco Nigeria Ltd. Lagos, and Yematec Ltd. Akure.
Engr. Akwuba has managed several major oil industry projects including the offshore investigation of Forcados Yokri Integrated Project (FYIP) for Shell Petroleum Development Company, which involved the drilling of wellhead clusters, peizocone penetration tests and boreholes beyond 80 meters in water depths in excess of 40 meters. The FYIP offshore development involved 5 wellhead clusters and the installation of a new production platform adjacent to an existing upgraded platform.
Engr. Akwuba is the manager of the Warri office of PROGRESS ENGINEERS where he manages and co-coordinates several geotechnical and sub-soil investigations for both land and swamp locations. As a manager he is responsible for the training of staff and supervision of all engineering, quality and safety assignments in Warri. His management skill and planning experience is core to the success of the Warri office.
